Privacy Policy
What this site collects when you plan an event with Max's Restaurant San Diego, and how we use it. The short version: we use your details to plan your party with you, and we never sell them.
What we collect
When you send an event inquiry, we receive what you enter in the planner: your name, phone number and email address; the occasion, date, start time and number of guests; any dishes or notes you add; how you heard about us; how you'd like us to contact you; and whether you checked the email or text-message boxes.
The planner also sends a few details about how you found the site, such as the website that linked you here or whether you arrived from an ad, plus the page you sent the inquiry from. When you tap one of our phone numbers, the site notes that a call button was tapped. It does not record the call itself.
Some of our Google ads include a short request form. If you send one, Google passes us what you entered (your name, phone number and email address, the type of event, your expected guest count and the date you have in mind) and that the request came from an ad. We handle it exactly like an inquiry from this site: it goes to our events team, and we email you a confirmation with an estimate when you give a guest count.
How we use it
- To plan your event. Your inquiry is emailed to the Max's Restaurant San Diego events team, who contact you about availability, the menu and the details.
- To confirm we got it. We email you a confirmation, including an estimate when you give us a guest count.
- Texts, only if you opt in. If you check the text-message box, we may text you about your inquiry and occasional offers. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
- Emails, only if you opt in. If you check the email box, we may send news, offers and event ideas. Ask us to stop at any time.
- To improve the site and our ads. We look at which pages and ads lead to inquiries and calls, so we can make them more useful.
Who else handles it
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this site for us: Cloudflare (hosting the site and processing the inquiry form), our email delivery provider (sending your confirmation and our emails), our text-message provider (only if you opt in to texts), and Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Ads measurement). Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and browser storage
Google Tag Manager and Google Ads use cookies to measure visits that come from our ads and actions such as sending an inquiry or tapping to call. The planner saves your progress in your browser for the current visit, so a reload doesn't erase what you typed. That copy is cleared when you close the tab. It also remembers only your occasion, guest count and date on this device for 7 days, so you can pick up where you left off; it never keeps your name, phone number or email. Sending an inquiry or tapping “Start over” clears it. The Kain Na! Kitchen Rush game keeps only your best score on this device. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
We also count visits ourselves, without cookies. When a page loads, when you open the planner or move through its steps, and when an inquiry arrives, the site tells our own server on Cloudflare which page it was, the general source of the visit (for example a Google ad, Instagram or a direct visit), the device type and the approximate region. A random visit number, kept in your browser only until you close the tab, lets us tell one visit from another. These counts never include your name, phone number, email address or IP address.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete the information you sent us, or to stop marketing emails, email [email protected] or call (858) 876-8789. To stop texts, reply STOP.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry details as long as we need them to plan and follow up on your event, and for our normal business records.
Children
This site is for adults planning events. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
